How to actually cancel Netflix (and what they don't tell you)
The four-click cancel path, what gets retained, and when your last day actually is.

Netflix’s cancellation flow is mercifully short — under a minute if you know where to click. But there are three things they bury in fine print that surprise people.
The path
- Go to netflix.com/youraccount.
- Scroll to Membership & Billing → Cancel Membership.
- Confirm. Yes, really cancel.
- You’ll get an email. Save it — it’s your proof of cancellation date.
What they don’t tell you
- You keep watching until the end of your billing period. Cancellation doesn’t refund the month you’re in. If you just paid on the 3rd, watch until the 2nd next month.
- Your profiles, history, and ratings are kept for 10 months. If you resubscribe within that window, everything comes back. After 10 months, it’s gone.
- There’s no email retention loop — Netflix is one of the few that doesn’t spam you for 90 days after you leave. Respect.
A scripted cancel
If you’d rather not click through the UI:
# In NotAnotherSub: ⌘K → "cancel netflix" → Enter
# We'll open the cancel page in the right account, with the path pre-highlighted.
That’s the entire trick. We built it because we couldn’t believe a four-click flow was something people kept forgetting to do for years.
